Works in Progress Group: a 12-session, one-night-a-week facilitated peer-to-peer critique group meeting every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. In addition, allow an hour or so a week for reading the work of others in the group. Live, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
What: If you are well into writing a novel, memoir, play, or other work that takes long-haul solo commitment, and have reached the but-is-it-working? How-do-I-make-it-better? point, this group is for you. Crescent’s approach (tough, tender, thoughtful, respectful) builds a focused environment where members grow their ability to give and receive valuable response, resulting in stronger, better organized, truer work.
When: Twelve 2 1/2-hour evening classes, 6:00 to 8:30 pm, Wednesdays, starting 1-30, then 2-6, 2-20, 2-27, 3-13, 3-20, 4-3, 4-10, 4-24, 5-1, 5-15, 5-22. NOTE: This class runs two weeks on, one off. In most months, that means 3 weeks on, one off.
Who: This class is for those who are already working on and committed to bettering and finishing a long writing project — a memoir, novel, play, collection of poems or essays, or work of creative non-fiction. Limited to 6.
