The current Works in Progress offerings are closed for Spring 2019. To participate in the FALL 2019 Works-In-Progress group contact Crescent@dragonwagon.com
Crescent’s Works-in-Progress Group is a small, intimate 12-session, two-weeks-on, one-week-off course. It offers peer-to-peer critiquing, gently and expertly facilitated by a master teacher (and a much-published multi-genre writer). The group will meet on Wednesdays (exact dates below) from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Central. In addition, allow an hour or so a week for reading the work of others in the group outside of class. Limited to 6 people.
This will be a live class, held in Fayetteville, Arkansas, but with openings for 2 to 3 members to cyber-commute, attending from a distance.
It is for those who are already working on and committed to bettering and completing a long writing project — a memoir, novel, play, collection of poems or essays, or work of creative non-fiction.
What: If you are well into writing a novel, memoir, play, or other work, you know that while it takes lots of long-haul solo commitment, there is also a point of but-is-it-working? How-do-I-make-it-better? If you have reached this point, this group is for you. Crescent’s approach (tough, tender, thoughtful, respectful) builds a focused environment where members grow their ability to give and receive valuable response, resulting in stronger, better organized, truer work.

Can I take it online? Yes, for the first time we are offering the choice of attending class in simultaneous real time, online, for up to four participants. We prefer this be a one-time choice; however, some may need to switch back and forth between in the flesh and online and will accommodate that. Before the classes begin, all cyber-students will have a practice dry-run and coaching so there are no technical hang-ups before the first class.
How much: $850; registration links for both on and offline options are below.
Then what happens: you’ll immediately get a e-message, sent to whatever address you used with PayPal, with a receipt. A detailed confirmation will follow within 24 hours, including what to do beforehand.
